Chaffawn believes there is so much in life that can give joy. For her, it’s working with at-risk youth. Chaffawn is a dance teacher, a fitness instructor, and a program director for Youth for Christ. Her exciting journey started 4 years ago,Jan 1, 2018. She relocated from Kansas City to be a part of the youth work in South Seattle. As an individual artist her job is to create a creative space that supports youth and adults gifts, talents and hobbies. Chaffawn does this through a number of ways, most notably through a dynamic curriculum that ranges from leadership training and anti-drug and anti-violence sessions to creative outlets like creating her own music videos, teaching dance, fitness dance instructor, or honing public speaking skills and singing.
She's charitable, teaching free workshops at Franklin High School, Rainier Valley Leadership Academy, Cultured Dance Team, and so many other outlets for the community and schools.
For Chaffawn being an artist is a gift but also an opportunity to bring peace and joy to people around her.
In her role as Secretary Chaffawn keeps meeting minutes and serves the organization with her fundraising experience.
